Has anybody else noticed that when a van VW T7 Transporter or otherwise is being advertised without any VAT to be added the price is actually never what prices vans being sold with VAT are pre VAT? I'll explain better what I mean...

If a Van is for sale at a dealer for say £15000 plus VAT that would mean the purchaser is actually paying £18000 but if an almost equivalent van ie same spec, colour similar mileage, same extra's, similar condition etc the van is NEVER advertised at £15000 only, dealers appear to add their own unofficial tax and price it up at say £16750 or similar, which wouldn't be so bad but when buying a part exchange they never apply the same rules if a van isn't VAT applicable they'd never dream of offering say a grand above book, or am I looking for a problem that doesn't exist? I have to say that's the way it looks to me

lol, I had noticed this too when searching for a Dub, I guess it’s their way of profiteering a bit at our expense, I understand the frustration though it can make rather a lot of difference, I think the bit that got to me most was the fact they stick like glue to their valuation of non VAT part exchanges knowing full well they will make a killing
